Five Ontario women are set to complete a swimming marathon across Lake Ontario. The participants will swim 305 kilometers from Kingston, Ontario to Burlington, a feat which is expected to take five days of swims. The event supports "Because I Am a Girl," a social movement that supports brighter future for girls in developing world and aims to raise 300,000 dollars.
Four of the women have successfully completed Lake Ontario crossings in the past.

The fifth swam the English Channel in the fall of 2012.
The swim will start from Kingston's Confederation Park on July 23rd.
